Peer Ministry kicking off the 2017 Pyjama Drive

The Christmas season is upon us and we’re given the gift of creating memories that help put smiles on our faces throughout the rest of the year.  While it’s easy to get lost in the merriment of the season, we have to remember that there are families in need who appreciate the generosity and care of those who are able to help.  What a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as a community this Advent to help support each other during this festive season of joy and wonder!

St. Jean de Brebeuf CHS’ Peer Ministry has kicked off the 2017 Pyjama Drive.  The event will be running from November 27th – December 7th.  We’re asking that each student bring in a pair of BRAND NEW pyjamas to be donated to two local charities.  Students and teachers have been informed of which size their homeroom has been assigned to:

1st Floor: Newborn – 24 Months
2nd Floor: Child 1 – 3
3rd Floor: Child 4 – 10
Portapack: Youth S – XL

Please package each pair of donated pyjamas in a clear zip lock bag that is labelled with its size and gender.  For each pair of pyjamas that a student donates, he or she will receive a ballot for prizes that will be drawn after Dec. 7th.  Representatives from Peer Ministry will collect the donations on two collection dates: Thursday, November 30th and Thursday, December 7th.  Once all of the pyjamas are collected they will be sorted and donated, helping to make the Christmas of those children in need just a little bit warmer.

God bless and thank you for your support and participation in this wonderful cause. May your Christmas be filled with love and cheer!
