On Wednesday November 3rd, our Grade Nine students will participate in Take Our Kids to Work Day (TOKTWD) 2021. In lieu of the traditional in-person experiential learning opportunity, TOKTWD activities will be conducted in class due to COVID restrictions. As such, the focus of the activities is to connect course curriculum to future pathways.
Students are to report to school on November 3rd. They will participate in two TOKTWD modules prepared to help them engage in the individual pathways plan and career exploration that are directly related to the classes they are in during both periods. For example, if a student is in a Math class, they will be exploring careers related to Math during that period.
Teachers will work through the modules with the students during their regularly scheduled class. We hope that this will encourage students to think about their future career goals and develop a plan to help achieve them.
