Student Trustee Application

You have a very special opportunity to apply for a unique leadership opportunity. If you are interested in the role of Student Trustee for the York Catholic District School Board, please review the package attached. Here’s what you need to know:

• only one candidate per school will have the opportunity to run for the position against candidates from all other YCDSB high schools
• all SJDB students who apply will be interviewed by the Administration; the successful candidate will be selected to represent our school in the board-wide student trustee election
• interested candidates must be Roman Catholic
• student trustees serve a term of two years (i.e. Grade 11 and 12) and represent the interests of students from across the YCDSB
• student trustees participate on the York Secondary Catholic Presidents’ Council (YSCPC); meetings are monthly
• student trustees participate in monthly school board meetings with senior administration and the board of trustees
