Catholic School Council: First Meeting and Election

We are so appreciative of the working relationship we have with the parents and guardians of this community. We are thankful for any feedback we receive and are happy to share all of the wonderful events and accomplishments that take place at St. Jean de Brebeuf. One way to stay connected with our school community is to participate in monthly Catholic School Council meetings. Meetings take place in the Library Commons and begin at 7:00pm. The dates for this year’s meetings are as follows:

September 28 – election of Executive
October 19
November 23
December 21
January 25
February 15
March 22
April 19
May 24
June 14

At our first meeting, we will be electing the Executive. As a parent/guardian of a child in this school, you are eligible to self-nominate or nominate another parent or guardian of a child at this school to be a voting member of the Catholic School Council. As per section 4.6 of the  Ontario Regulations 612/00 School Council and Parent Involvement Committees:

The principal of a school shall, at least 14 days before the date of the election of parent members, on behalf of the school council, give written notice of the date, time, and location of the election to every parent of a pupil who, on the date, the notice is given, is enrolled in the school.

 Please ensure that you respond before 3:00pm on Monday, September 26, 2022 with your nomination.

The election will take place in person at the September 28th meeting and the results will be posted on the school website the following day.
