Welcome to High School – for Parents & Guardians!

We fully recognize that when students start high school for the first time, not only do they undergo a multitude of feelings, parents and guardians do as well. We all want to make sure that we are informed in order to work together effectively to support students. In light of the fact that last year’s Open House event was virtual, we would like to offer the parents and guardians of our Grade 9 students the opportunity to attend a presentation that will address a comprehensive overview of key personnel, practices and resources available at the school that can be leveraged for success over the next four years. Here are the details:

  • Date: Thursday, September 22, 2022
  • Time: 7:00pm
  • Location: Cafeteria, St. Jean de Brebeuf

The list of topics we would like to address include:

  1. our “Circle of Care” – a review of the various human resources that support students for various purposes
  2. overview of key expectations (i.e. the Student Handbook)
  3. Guidance – understanding pathways planning and course selection
  4. Special Education – how it differs from Elementary practices
  5. Getting Involved in the life of the school

Should you have any questions that you hope will be answered or addressed during this presentation, please click here. We will do our best to incorporate your questions. Staff will be available after the presentation for quick questions.

Note: this is not a “meet-the-teacher” or a “curriclum night”. If you have any questions that pertain to your child’s courses, please contact their teacher(s) directly.

We look forward to seeing you on September 22nd!
