On Monday, August 30th, students will have access to their DRAFT timetable via the Maplewood Student Portal starting at 6:00pm.
If a student would like to request a timetable change, they must follow these steps to do so:
- Visit the school website.
- Under the “Students” drop-down menu, select “Course Change/Transcripts”.
- Once on the “Course Change/Transcripts” page, click on the “Course Change Request” sub-heading. The text box will expand and a blue button called “Course Change Request Form” (a Google Form) will appear. Click on the button.
- Once the Google Form opens, carefully read the instructions and criteria, along with the note at the bottom of the Google Form.
- Once you submit your request, it will be received digitally by the student’s Guidance Counsellor. A receipt will automatically be generated and emailed to the student/parent/guardian, summarizing the request that has been submitted.
- The Guidance Counsellor will follow up with the student via their @ycdsbk12.ca Gmail. account regarding the status of the request.
The Course Change Request process will only take place digitally. We will not be accepting any hard copies of paperwork.
There will be no changes made to elective choices for Grades 9 and 10 students.
During this time, until September 15th, Guidance Counsellors will not be having any in person appointments, however, they can be reached by email. That said, if any urgent concerns that cannot be addressed through emails or phone calls, in-person appointments can be made.
The final day to submit a Course Request Change form is September 15, 2021.
On September 7th, all students will have access to the FINAL version of their timetable. All timetables are subject to change based on local efforts to balance class sizes. The courses themselves will not change, but the order in which they appear in the timetable might.
Students are to follow their timetable until any changes have been confirmed by Guidance resulting in an updated timetable.
