After months of planning, building, testing and teamwork, students from the Robotics Club at
St. Jean de Brebeuf CHS in Woodbridge achieved something truly extraordinary. They successfully
launched their first weather balloon into the stratosphere, soaring more than 30,000 metres above Earth!
This incredible student-led project captured breathtaking footage of the Earth’s curvature and trained
AI technology at extreme altitudes, showcasing the innovation, creativity and determination of our students.
Principal Elisabetta Mastromartino shared,
“I am so incredibly proud of our Black Bears for reaching new heights… literally. This project is a true example of what can happen when students dream big, work together and put their learning into action.”
Congratulations to the Robotics Club and everyone who helped make this remarkable achievement possible.
