Quadmester 4 – UPDATED

Following the spring break, all students will begin remote learning until further notice. In preparation for the start of Quadmester 4 on Monday, April 19th,  please note the following:

1. SYNCHRONOUS LEARNING DAYS – UPDATED

Teachers will be providing LIVE, SYNCHRONOUS instruction, starting Monday, April 19th. Students are to report for attendance and their classes per usual.

2. STUDENTS WITH COMPLEX SPECIAL EDUCATION NEEDS

Additional details for students with complex special education needs are forth-coming and parents will be contacted shortly. In-person learning for these students will begin on Wednesday, April 21st.

3. TEXTBOOK DISTRIBUTION

The scheduled textbook distribution dates will proceed as planned, with some logistical changes. The schedule is as follows:

  • Grade 12: April 20, 9:00-11:30

  • Grade 11: April 20, 12:30-3:00

  • Grade 10: April 21, 9:00-11:30

  • Grade 9: April 21, 12:30-3:00

Students are asked to visit their teachers’ virtual learning environments for instructions about textbooks. Textbooks will be delivered curbside. Students and parents will not enter the school. Before arriving at the school and interacting with school staff, parents and students are asked to complete the self-screening tool. Staff will be donning PPE and maintaining appropriate physical distancing.

4. DEVICES

Should a student require a device to learn remotely, please complete this Google Form no later than Sunday, April 18th. We will do our best to accommodate requests. Students are reminded that these devices may only be used for school work and engaging in remote learning.  Devices that are requested will be ready for pick-up at the same time as textbooks and students and parents are to follow the same schedule, designated by grade.

Students and parents are reminded that the schedule for the school day remains the same. The school day begins promptly at 8:20am.

Even during remote learning, parents must report their child’s absence using the Safe Arrival System

For any inquiries or should you have questions, please contact the school at 905-851-3259. We ask that students and parents not come into the school at this time. Your call/message will be re-directed accordingly.
